The Congregation of the Sisters of the Apostolic Carmel is an Indian congregation founded in 1868 by Venerable Mother Veronica, inspired to serve and educate young girls. Today, the congregation runs a wide range of educational and social service institutions, including schools, teacher training centres, technical schools, crèches, children’s homes, and facilities for differently-abled children across India and countries such as Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Kenya, France, and Rome. Mary Nilayam Convent and Nursery School was established on 26 April 1970 under the guidance of the late Bishop Bernard Pereira of Trivandrum. Managed by the Sisters of the Apostolic Carmel, the school is dedicated to quality education rooted in strong moral values. It gained permanent recognition up to Class VII by 1990, CBSE affiliation in 2001, and was upgraded to a Senior Secondary School in 2011. We gratefully acknowledge God’s blessings upon the institution, its staff, students, and benefactors.
contact usWe draw inspiration from Christ, who willed the total development of every person, and also from our foundress, Mother Veronica. Our aim is to form integrated persons.
As we step into a brand new academic year, I extend a heartfelt welcome to all students, parents, and staff. Each new beginning is a chance to grow, to dream bigger, and to strive for excellence. Let us move forward together with renewed energy, curiosity, and commitment. May this year be filled with meaningful learning, joyful experiences, and proud achievements.
With the blessings of Mother Mary, our guiding star, may we walk this journey with grace, compassion, and faith. Together, let’s make this academic year a truly memorable and successful one.
